Peggy
Hooker
received her bachelor's degree in English education
from Buffalo State College in 1982 and her master's
in counseling education from Alfred University in 1987.
She has served as both an English teacher and school
counselor throughout her career. In 1990, she became
Director of Guidance in the Wayland-Cohocton School
District, assisting students in the college search process.
Peggy left Wayland in 1997 in order to work with students
independently. Her knowledge of college admission is
extensive. Peggy's students remember the special attention
and services she provided them when identifying schools;
she has remained in close contact with many of her students
throughout their college experience and beyond.
Scott Hooker holds his
bachelor's degree in journalism from the University
of Kansas and his master's degree in higher education
administration from Alfred University. He has held a
variety of college admission positions during his 20-year
career, including serving as Director of Admissions
at SUNY Geneseo and Alfred University. He has vast experience
in both public and private college admission. In addition,
Scott served as President of the New York State Association
for College Admission Counseling and has been an active
member for many years of both the National Association
for College Admission Counseling and the State University
of New York College Admission Professionals. He is the
recipient of the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence
in Professional Service and the NYSACAC President's
Award.
Ed Reiman has a bachelor's
degree in history and political science from the University
of Vermont and master's in education from the University
of Washington. He spent 12 years as a classroom teacher
and school counselor in the Stowe, Vt. School District
and six years as Assistant Director of the Educational
Opportunity Program (EOP) at SUNY Geneseo. In 1987,
he joined the staff in the Office of Financial Aid,
first as Assistant Director and later as Associate Director,
at SUNY Geneseo and later went on to become Director
of Financial Aid at the University of Southern Maine,
Gorham. Ed has extensive knowledge of the financial
aid and scholarship processes, including private scholarship
funding. He is a recipient of the SUNY Chancellor's
Award for Excellence in Professional Service.
